Enhanced Membership
The Alpha Beta Chi Chapter offers enhanced membership to Phi Theta Kappans in good standing who actively participate in service to the chapter, college and community. The Pima Community College chapter participates in the Phi Theta Kappa International Five-Star Development Program, which encourages chapter development and goal setting related to the Hallmarks of our Society: Scholarship, Leadership, Service and Fellowship. The best way for a chapter to serve its members and reach its program goals is through member participation. The Five-Star Enhanced Membership Program exists to encourage that participation and reward those members who contribute to the chapter’s success. Just as the Five-Star Development Program recognizes different levels of chapter participation in Society programs, our enhanced membership program recognizes different levels of member participation in the Alpha Beta Chi Chapter’s activities. The Five-Star Enhanced Membership Program is a graduated program that reflects differing levels of member participation in Chapter activities and programming. This program is designed to allow you to participate as much or as little as you like, and it provides a vehicle for personal enrichment. After successful completion of each star level, you will receive the recognition indicated to the right of the highest star achieved. The Five-Star Enhanced Membership Program is an annually recurring program based on the regional year, each year you begin the program anew. Participation in last year’s chapter activities will not be counted toward this year’s enhanced membership. You do not need to complete the activities in any special order, however, in order to receive recognition for the highest level achieved, you must complete ALL activities below that level and ALL the activities within that level.
